I’ve been building websites for local businesses since 2011. I’ve led design teams, run a larger agency and owned my own small business. Those experiences have shaped the way I work, but the people behind each business have always mattered most.

The tools have changed how quickly we can work. But understanding your business, making good design decisions and knowing what will serve your customers still takes experience. That’s my role. Technology helps me build; it doesn’t replace the thought and care behind your website.

Met with Simon today, a customer we’ve worked with for many years, as we kick off an exciting new project for their food packaging business.
We’re now getting started on a completely new website, and there are already plenty of ideas on the table.
A big part of the early work has been looking closely at some of the leading businesses in their sector, including competitors around ten times their size, to understand what they’re doing well and where the opportunity is to go even further.
The aim isn’t to copy what’s already out there. It’s to use experience, fresh ideas and plenty of research to build something that elevates the business and helps position them for the next stage of their growth.

I wanted to make professional web design more accessible, without asking small businesses to find thousands of pounds upfront before we’ve even had the chance to work together.
