Why do you build websites for free?
I believe this is the future of web design. New technology, guided by experience, lets me build great websites more efficiently, and I want to pass that benefit on to you.
Foundry is also about building relationships with business owners. If you trust me with your website and come back for help with something else, that’s a bonus. My focus is on doing a great job for you from the start.
How do I know this is legitimate?
Take a look at our example websites, read our customer reviews, or look up the business. You’re also welcome to pick up the phone and speak to me directly.
I understand that a free website might sound too good to be true. That’s why I’m happy to explain how it works and answer your questions before you decide. You’ll know who you’re working with and what to expect.
How many pages are included?
Your website includes up to eight pages, designed and written for your business.
If you need more, we can discuss that during our first conversation and work out the best approach. Once your website is built, you can also add as many pages as you like yourself.
Are there any hidden costs or additional subscription fees?
There’s no upfront design or build fee. Your hosting, maintenance and support package costs £40 per calendar month, with no VAT, and starts with a 12-month commitment.
There are no additional compulsory charges for the agreed standard package. If you ask for something outside that scope, we’ll discuss it and agree any price with you first.
Our focus is on building you a great website and looking after it. You don’t have to buy other services from us.
Can I move my website elsewhere?
Yes. Your website belongs to you. Once the initial 12-month term ends, you can move it to another provider with 30 days’ notice.
Any third-party licences or services remain subject to their own terms, so some may need replacing or renewing separately when you move.
How long will it take to build and launch my website?
We aim to have your website online within a week of our first conversation. You’ll normally receive your first preview within two to three days, leaving time for your feedback and any changes.
We’ll need any agreed materials and your approval before launching. If you can come back to us promptly, we can usually keep everything moving within that week.
How do I make changes to my website?
We’re happy to help. Small changes to text and images are included in your ongoing support package. Just send the details across and we’ll take care of them.
If you prefer to make changes yourself, we can provide your login details and video instructions covering the basics. Your website is built on WordPress, so you have the flexibility to manage your own content, with us only a phone call away if you get stuck.
Will you help my website get found on Google?
Yes. Before your website goes live, we follow an internal checklist covering the technical setup and search foundations.
During our first conversation, we’ll ask about your customers, your services and the areas you cover. That helps us write relevant content and organise your website so people and search engines can understand what you do.
We also consider how your content can be understood by AI-powered search tools, including services such as ChatGPT. These foundations support visibility, although no one can guarantee rankings or inclusion in AI answers.
Can I use my existing domain name?
Yes, absolutely. If you already have a domain, we can use it for your new website and guide you through connecting it.
If we register a domain for you, it will be registered in your name. Your domain belongs to you.
